Anyone ever heard about Intel Celeron causing network problems on a Win'98/NetBUI peer-to-peer setup. I have been having network-wide trouble ever since the new Celeron computer was added.

NO.But if you have overclocked it, all bets are off. There are thousands of celeron systems out there running on lan's ,many peer to peer.

if you are experiencing a slow boot or boot lag it is most likely because there is no ip address in TCP/IP i have experienced these problems on my p2 350 @392 and my celeron at 450 and like Warezdamon said watch overclocking but only in the 75-83 mhz bus speeds these two bus speed cause troble with PCI/ISA components!

It's most definitely overclocking. Just read a recent article that NIC cards are very sensitive with bus speeds. It makes since because it probably is more dependent on timing then any other PCI/ISA device.

If your overclocking the Celeron 300A to 450 (fsb 100) it will have absolutly no effect, since when your fsb is 100 your pci bus is 33, which is exactly the same as if you were not overclocking at all. However, if you're running fsb at 75, 83, or 112 the then the bus speed is running at a non-standard rate and you are asking for trouble.
