Hi everyone,

I'm wanting to network two computers at home. My options for connecting the two are either two buy a four port hub or else just get a crossover patch cable for a fraction of the cost. I've read some articles saying that the crossover cable on occasion screws up some of the packet being sent? Can anyone verify this?

I've used crossover cables and hubs, and I've never had a problem with crossover cables. I always make my own cables.

thanks everyone, your advice has been helpful.

i think i will end up getting a small hub mainly to open the door for future expansion without having to junk the crossover cable later.
