Hi there
My company was getting low on Cat.5 UTP Network Cable ( Blue One ) when i rang out cable supllier i ask for the same cable.. but the guy on the phone said there is an

Cat5.UTP Inhanced ( green )which is better than the standard... now is this true.. is there like an updated UTP cable???

also can it be used with the stanard UTP cable??

there is an enhanced UTP Cat5 Cable ! http://discussions.hardwarecentral.com/smile.gif

but im still trying to find out if it can be used with standard CAT5

Yes there is a new ethernet standard out, for Gigahertz speeds. Until now, I had assumed that fibre was the only way to get upto that kind of speed. Obviously not.

Assasin and pb, I am sure you meant to say Gigabit speeds, and not gigahertz.

Yes , you can use enhanced cat5 cable along with standard cat5. It is just better cable.
