Funky Cable Modem

I have a cable internet service where I am not assigned an IP, I obtain an IP from the network whenever I go online (up to 3 machines). I have a linky switch with 2 computers on it. I would like to set up a peer-to-peer, but since I am not assigned an IP, how can I do this?

the easiest way would be to get the linksys 1-port router. since you already have a hub, it will do fine. you connect both computers and the modem to the router, and the router will assign each computer an IP.

or if you dont want to spend $100 on the router, you can go for winproxy, or any other proxy software. winproxy has DHCP built in, so it wont matter that you have 1 IP (even if that IP is dynamic)
