Ports open for games

I was wondering if there is a easy way to open lots of ports quickly?
My bro uses telnet and it gets annoyed trying to open all the ports needed for games like motorcross madness 2 and age of empires.

hes got a cisco(sp?) dsl modem .

is there a program/easy way too open all teh ports at once..?

If he's having trouble opening ports, his modem most likely has a hardware based firewall - you wont be able to fix it if thats the case.

Otherwise the ports should open automatically :\
