Acrobat distiller

i would like to save all my Acrobat Distiller files to a folder that I have specially created on my hard drive. Where do I configure it so that it either (1) saves it by default to my special folder or (2) will ASK me where to save it to vs. the preset distiller folder?

This may depend on what version of Acrobat and Windows you're using, but on Win2k with Acrobat 5, I go to:

Start > Settings > Printers > Acrobat Distiller - Properties > General > Printing Properties > Adobe PDF Settings


Make sure the setting "Prompt for PDF Filename" is ticked. That should prompt for the filename and location when writing the file then.
