I found a good deal on an Antec 450W PSU and as I will be upgrading my comp in the summer and power requirements are increasing with cpu's and videocard, I was wondering if this would be enough power for the future (dont see why it wouldnt) and also to make sure that no other spec was going to come out (ATX in other words would disappear like ATX replaced AT).

The BTX spec is coming out in the future, but probably won't take over ATX as the dominant form factor for at least a year.

What exactly is BTX?

they just moved the positioning of the components on the motherboard...eg, in atx, the air flows first to the pci slots, ram and then cpu and psu...but in btx, i think the cpu gets the cool air first...

but btx is going to be compatible with ATX power supplys as it uses the same connector so i think it would be a good upgrade and well worth it. also it would be plenty juice for the future.

and as for your question about what BTX is have a look HERE (http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1876)

as you can see in the image they have swiched the side that the PCI slots are on. and they have changed the position of the CPU and memory so the one fan can cool both so less noise and better cooling. those 4 slots are standard PCI Slots and those 2 small slots are PCI Express 1X slots and the bigger one is PCI Express 16X slot, AGP 8X's replacement

and because of the cooler systems and smaller motherboards that allows for smaller cases.

Wow, it's like a bizarro-world backwards case!
