Hello. I'm going to upgrade from my old voodoo rush to a voodoo 2, which means I
have to buy a new 2d card. There's a lot of
information out there about 3d cards, but less so about 2d cards, and I'm looking for advice. I'd like something that handles 2d games well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

From what I can figure the Matrox Millenium G200 is about as fast a 2D card as you will find. The D3D performance is quite respectable to. I'm gonna' go for it in my new system.

Do not spend your hard earned dollars on the Matrox G200, get the STB Velocity 4400 which has 16ram standard, and shames the G200 on all benchmarks http://www.hardwarecentral.com/discussion/smile.gif

it depends and your system, which card would suit your needs. If you have a 400 plus, then the TNT cards are an excellent choice, if it's less than that then I like the Banshee family... If you want a low down checkout sharkyextreme.com

Agree with Esquire. Skip the Voodoo and go for Banshee or TNT, or even Millenium G200.
