I'm a complete and total user of Sony Ericsson mobiles and today, I feel in love... Again!
From a T68i to a K700i to a S700i and as soon as its released, I'm going for the K750i.
Check out the link (http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=ph&lc=en&ver=4000&template=pp1_loader&php=php1_10242&zone=pp&lm=pp1&pid=10242). :)

Hope it has less bugs in.
I had loads of problems with my S700i though it was a fantastic phone.
Got a Samsung D500 now and not sure which i prefer

Does the Samsung D500 have a Sent Items for SMS messages? That's the only thing stopping me from getting one. :)

Yeah its called the outbox which confused me a little at first.
There are a few things which are annoying but its a great phone overall.
+ points
Camera is much better than my s700i in dark conditions which is where most of my pics are taken (in the pub)
Good, fast menus. (s700i was pretty slow)
Texting is handier aswell.
-points
WHeras on others phone when its sending an sms you can go to the main menu and do other things while sending this cancels it and saves to draft which is annoying as when i've finished i tend to slde it shut thus stopping it sending :(
No decent normal ringtones they are all stupid same with message tones
Unable to have it vibrate and ring together it must be one or the other
But its a cracking phone and highly recommended :)

Hmm this phone does look pretty good but I don't know about moving away from a symbian based phone (love my megadrive emulator etc). Another thing which puts me off is the relativley expensive memory sticks it uses. Other than that, it's tempting me heh

They're plenty of nice looking phones around these days, but I still like to stick to Nokia coz its just easy to use. No messing around.

Cool! I didn't think any of the Samsung's had an Outbox or Sent Items which is really important to me. I always forget if I've messaged someone already or not.

Hehe...
I love to own this phone too.
According to my friends that had SE T610/630, the SMS function is not user friendly. Probably that is caused by the T9 dictionary.
Toolbox, did you ever have this problem with your SE?
I would prefer to get the D750i that will be released for T-Mobile though.. :o

So what are the phone companies offering you guys in the department of payment?
I think it's actually getting to be pretty good over here in Australia. I just switched my plan yesterday over to the $49.95 cap.
I can talk up to $230 worth of calls, for the cap price. If I go over I just pay on top of that original price. It includes national mobile to mobile calls, mobile to land line, sms, mms, all international calls, PTT or something. Calls are charged at 1c/sec and have a flagfall of 25c. Do they offer stuff like this or better over where you are?
P.S. I work in a petrol station. Don't sell phones or phone services :D

well im not on a pay monthly contract, im on pay as you go. so i usually top my phone up with about £10-£15 a month. and HERE (http://www.orange.co.uk/talkplans/payasyougo/chooseyourown.html) is the prices i get charged.

So let me ask you this. I have heard many that in the UK, people get paid the same amount as in Australia in figures. So I work at a petrol station for 17AUD an hour. Does a person in the UK who works in a petrol station get £17?
Coz we all know that pounds are worth more than Aussie dollars. Is this true or is that crazy talk? Coz if its true. Then you guys are getting a bargain. Or we are getting ripped off.

Man £17 an hour would be sweet.
Though not usual salaries for places like that is probably about £5-£6 per hour.

put me in ackward situations sometimes.
at least i could honestly say that i didn't remember texting them...
now it's more fun, since i can re-read what i've texted :D

Yup... The T68i was a little difficult but the K700i and S700i are pretty simple. The nanny of my son uses an old Nokia 6600 I gave her and I used that phone for a couple of weeks before getting the K700i and it took me all of one day to get used to it. I really like Sony-Ericsson's because of the way they feel when you hold them. Nokia's are great too but my preference really leans more towards the SE's. :)

Thanks for the feedback Toolbox.
My sister just bought herself one K700i and I had the chance to tinker with it a bit. :p
Looks like SE has improved in the text input.

Did anyone get a K750i in the end? I'm considering moving from Nokia to Sony when my next upgrade comes around. At the moment it's a tie between the Nokia 8880 (looks) and the Sony K750i (features).

I've not got one but seen some of the pictures it can take and they are brilliant.

K750i will be my next upgrade. I want a good camera phone and seems to me the k750i is the best out there at the moment. Nokia N series is also not bad, but they are bit expensive.
I think for the feature / price nothing can beat the K750. My earlier choice was Nokia 6630 or 6680. But with the price of the K750 dropping I'll hold off for a few weeks till it drops below $350 mark to buy it.
Phones are expensive here  . Right now I am using an ancient Siemens M55  .
Here is a good review of the phone emphasizing on the camera K750 Reviev @ mobile-review.com (mobile-review.com/review/sonyericsson-k750-en.shtml) . Take a look at those night shots (http://mobile-review.com/review/image/sonyeric/k750/photos/DSC00119.JPG) ! Amazing quality for a camera phone

That hasn't happened to me yet. I've never charged it using the outlet either. I always charge it using the USB Cable. :)
