Xbox and PC LAN

I have Star Wars Battlefront for the PC, and my friend has it on Xbox. Do you know if it is possible to start a LAN game with the XBOX and PC on a crossover cable?

i remember dreamcast games being able to go against mac's online, 4x4evo was one of them i remember.

Star Wars Battlefront just has Lan, Xbox live might let him and I play together, but then that costs money, and he doesnt have it, Im just gonna force him to play PC :D

ahh- i wonder if xbox live allows that or not....

I think i was reading the new xbox will not have a charge for its basic online play. there will be a premium package that allows for better matchups and stuff....
