I was igven a KVM switch with an ethernet end. What I was hoping to accoimplish was to plug that into my one PC, and the ethernet end into my router then - I guess telnet - to the LAN IP and control the PC.
I'm not familiar with these KVM's at all, so any help would be appreciated.
Yeah I could use remote connection, but for whatever reason I could never get that to work right.

Is this a KVM Over IP? Take a look at Avocent's solutions at www.avocent.com. If it is similar, you need to install their client to access the attached PCs from a remote site.

Those numbers did not turn up any results.
Are you sure it is not just a KVM extender?

Yes. That is the expensive part. :(
Dell basically rebrands the Avocent KVM. I can;t blame them as Avocent makes a great product. An 8-port DSR1021 will run you about $1,500.
