How do you remove program entries in "Add or Remove Programs?" It seems like the hundredth time I've asked this question and never saved the page. I know I have to go into the registry but I forget how. Thanks.

You can do it via the registry or you can download CCleaner, the free and awesome system cleanup utility, which has a section for removing programs listed in Add/Remove Programs.

I've tried CCleaner as well as other programs like Advanced Uninstaller PRO 2006, and while they work most of the time, a few get left behind. If this happens, then use regedit (under Run in the Start menu), then go to Hkey_Local_Machine, Software, Microsoft, Windows, CurrentVersion, Uninstall and then search for the program you want to remove. The easiest way to identify them is by looking at the DisplayName string. Right click, delete and it's gone. Had to do this recently with a few program myself, some like Silent Hunter (game) were listed twice in the Add/Remove program list. Weird but easy to fix.
