upgrade for acer?

I have a question I hope someone can answer: I have an acer aspire 3003 WLMi with an AMD sempron 3000+ with the Lugano M motherboard can someone please tell me what the max processor I could upgrade to would be and if there would be any other mods I would have to do. I can't seem to find any info on my motherboard I know it is a 754 socket for the processor

To know for sure, you can download cpuz from www.cpuid.com to get your socket and CPU info.If you have a S754 board, then you might be able to install a Turion64 up to 2.4ghz. The only problem is that notebooks don't always detect CPU upgrades properly. The CPU will likely work, but the board might send it the incorrect vcore, making it run warmer than usual. That, or the CPU fan just runs all the time because the BIOS is confused about the CPU state. I swapped a 3400+ A64 with a Turion64 before, and everything worked okay, but the CPU was overvolted slightly. Wasn't a big deal though.
