Help with Pioneer 16x DVD-ROM

Hi:

My new Pioneer 16X DVD-ROM will not play audio CDs. It will load data from regular CDs and play DVDs fine, but when I try to play audio CDs, it says "drive specified is invalid". Any thoughts?

i would suggest getting a different program to play audio.

It looks like it is NOT the Pioneer drive but the program you are using. Look to see what drive your audio player is trying to access.

The drive is plug and play...there is no software.
