Hello folks!

Is it possible to turn 32-bit PCI slot into a 64-bit slot? The probable answer is no. But, I wanted to ask anyway.

Do you think this option will be available in the near future?

well, the 64bit slot is longer with more pins, and it uses a larger bus to move the data (64bit), so i would say no

GoShark, I had checked Adaptec's web page
and seen that 29160 controller card is 32-bit compatible even though it's really longer. Actually I have already bought the card!!! I hope nothing goes wrong.

it is longer, but the extra pins are used for 64bit only, so you dont have anything to worry about
