People (as Creative itself) say Dxr3 card is a very hot piece of work, and the drive that comes in a kit is kinda fast too... However, all i heard , is from several reviewers only, not from end users... If you are here, owner of a new Creative kit, you sure can post your thoughts here. As the old 5x drive was very fast for its chars, i hope the new
6x drive will not fail eigher. Same about the Mpeg2 card.

I've had nothing but trouble trying to use the Dxr3 decoder card. I have only one PCI slot that will run Creative Labs hardware and two Creative Labs cards that I want to run. Sound Blaster Live! Platinum 5.1 and the Dxr3 decoder. Creative Labs support has given up on this and Michael has a really bad attitude. Michael has changed my mind about buying any more Creative Labs products.

Creative optical products are not the best choice.
The Dxr3 card is the same as the Holywood Plus decoder card.
