NOT WINDOWS98 BUT 95!

Hi,
just wondering - how do you differentiate between Windows95 OSR2, 2.1, and 2.5. Is 4.00.950 B the same thing as OSR2, C the same as OSR2.1? Help!

First, go Control Panel|System. If the version number given there is:
4.00.950B - OSR2 or OSR2.1
4.00.950C - OSR2.5

If the number is B, check Control Panel|Add/Remove Programs. If "USB Supplement To OSR2" is listed, it's OSR2.1. Otherwise, OSR2.

Even if the installed copy is OSR2, it can be upgraded to OSR2.1 by installing the USB supplement (usbsupp.exe).
