when I boot up the computer to windows. The system stop and said that the mssp.vxd is missing. How can I reinstall this file and make it boot smoothly? HELP!

Many thanks.

see reply to tan, same applies to your problem, you put something on your pc(not through control panel)and remove it and it took a system file with it,you'll have to reload it.

Think hard...did yo uremove a program that looks like mssp would be in the title somewhere? If you did then it is being called from one of two places...the registry or the system.ini. My bet is on the system.ini. Run SYSEDIT and click on the system.ini window. Click on edit and Find and type in the name of the file. IF yo ufind it then put a semicolon in front of that line. You will probably find it in the 386ENH section.

If you don't know just ask. Chances are that everyone else doesn't know either. Feel better?
