BIOS Password

I set a BIOS password on my new laptop, and it seems that I have forgotten it. How do I enter setup to reset the password? Is there a way to remove the battery on the motherboard to reset the BIOS settings? Is there any way to reset the password, or am I just screwed? Please help!!!!

Im not sure how easy it is to get to in a laptop or if you should even try . but if you pull the internal battery out for a while it should reset it.
