Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : OSR2, have to buy it? Shiner January 6th, 1999, 02:41 PM where can i get the osr2 upgrade? traveler January 6th, 1999, 03:08 PM Correct me if I'm wrong everyone, but isnt OSR2 an OEM package, thus you could only get it preloaded on machines you buy retail? As far as I know you cant buy it. Valdin January 6th, 1999, 03:14 PM I think you might be right about the OEM thing. If possible try to find a friend or associate who has an MSDN (MicroSoft Developers Network) subscription. They'll have a Windows 95 OSR2 disk in their bundle. Good luck. Kevin930 January 6th, 1999, 04:24 PM CORRECT - OSR2 is available as OEM only. GoodLuck Kevin. Shiner January 6th, 1999, 06:53 PM looks like its win98 for me!! u can turn off that horrible thing where it uses internet explorer for everything right? Tuttle January 7th, 1999, 12:14 AM OSR2 is OEM only, but it comes bundled with either a hard drive or mainboard, so if you were planning to upgrade either of those you could pick up OSR2 with it. In Win98, IE4 integration can be disabled with a small util from http://www.annoyances.org/win98/features/integration.html . hambone January 7th, 1999, 08:09 PM You can buy it here http://www.ebay.com/ hardwarecentral.com
