ulsterjones, hmmm, you should just hire me to be your full-time Tech LOL. http://discussions.hardwarecentral.com/smile.gif Okay here is a way to determine the best driver:
First a couple Benchmark programs, these you can use to test performance:
http://wintune.winmag.com/Download.asp
WinTune does a good job for 2D,Direct3D and OpenGl performance testing. I use it to test basic performance of the System and whenever I install new drivers. Good basic performance testing program.
I'd also recommend downloading 3DMark99 or 3DMark2000 from here:
http://labpro.madonion.com/products/3dmark2000/
Once you have both prorams installed, run em and compare the performance of the different driver versions. Bear in mind, different version are more stable, give better enhancements and also have different performance. The driver that best suits you, will have to be determined by speed, stability, enhancements etc.. based on testing.
Good luck http://discussions.hardwarecentral.com/smile.gif

I'm using the Voodoo4/5 drivers on my Voodoo3. I got a pretty good frame jump in QIII and a better score in 3DMARK. Give it a try after you try all the others.
