May I know why is there a Reset Button on my casing?
I have a Windows PC that likes the Reset Button very much.

I hope its faster than the preview. I used the preview and outlook express would barely load. Took about 45 seconds. And the best part was when you deleted your email it would end up in the c:\windows\temp folder.

Anybody know of a link to the full download rather than the update link?

I know in win2k the iesetup will place a copy of all the downloaded files in the winnt\windows update folder. I simply copy them from there to another folder or to CD. Just in case your Update folder is filled with other crap, here is the list of files you will need.

BRANDING.CAB
CRLUPD.CAB
filelist.dat
ie6setup.exe
IEEXINST.CAB
iesetup.dir
iesetup.ini
IEW2K_1.CAB
IEW2K_2.CAB
IEW2K_3.CAB
IEW2K_4.CAB
MAILNEWS.CAB
MPLAY2U.CAB
OEEXCEP.CAB
README.CAB
SCRIPTEN.CAB
WAB.CAB

I'm sure win9x/ME has a similar folder that files are downloaded to.

hope this helps!

Thanks icexe,
Does that include a setup routine like they do with the IE 5.0?

downloading now. i assume from what icexe has posted it's another download-a-bit, install-a-bit, download-a-bit-more setup routine.

still, at least you've only got to do it once if you make a copy of the folder.

i miss the old days where you just got software and installed it.

i don't know whether M$ messed up their download server or not but the IE that I have downloaded the other day was version 2479 instead of 2600. That's why it kept prompting to resume setup. http://discussions.hardwarecentral.com/rolleyes.gif
I was surprised that it was not 2600. I redownloaded Win2K version on a win98 PC and now installed it with the correct version.

Maybe they haven't get the Windows 2000 ready yet at that time. How about you guys??

I've downloaded the whole M$ OS version since my office's Internet LAN is back on speed now. http://discussions.hardwarecentral.com/smile.gif
You'll never know when you are going to install any of the version one day.
