More video memory
Just wanted to know if having 1GB video memory means better performance compared to having 512MB.
Same GPU, same memory clock.

It does, if you are running at high resolutions, like higher than 1920x1200.

Ey thanks for the info. Anyways, so you mean the extra RAM wouldn't help at all when environmental effects and textures get heavy?

No I don't, the memory also helps when lots of textures are being used. However, I don't think it is worthwhile to upgrade to the same model video card with more memory. I you are going to upgrade, you should also look for a more powerful gpu.

Yes but if you're choosing a new card and the extra memory version only costs a bit more you might as well have it!
