I totally agree with you. I found HWC by accident, too, looking for help for some problem or another, posted my problem, and haven't left (maybe some wish I would ). This is a very welcoming forum, and members for the most part are very welcoming to newbies in particular. I too am glad I fell into this place.

I can't remember what I was searching for before I came here, but what attracted me initially was this huuuuuuuuuuuuuge thread started by a user called Pikachu about a P4 Williamette that he (allegedly) got hold of long before they were released. That ran to about 1000 often hilarious replies.

And the annoying thing is, I've searched for it since, and can't find it! Can anyone help out with a link, or has it been lost? I wouldn't mind reminiscing one night with a trawl through The Never-Ending Adventures Of Pikachu & His Run-In With The Feds

Ris is on holiday, so it might be the Frankfurt where you're thinking of

Yup, HwC is a great place to learn more about computers. A lot of my current knowledge I owe to the knowledge of fellow-HwC-members.

I had a question though: I heard some rumors about the updating of this BB. When is that gonna happen, if it's gonna happen...

I seriously can't remember how I found this site at all. I think I was typing in domain names to register and I found this site. But that was back in February of 99, the earliest sign up date I've seen. I'm special.
