Aida

Is AIDA freeware? I heard people talking about it in General forums, but the only thing I could find was some diabetes simulator program when I searched for it. I probably just need to take "Google 101"

I tend to use all three, but not usually at once on the same system (SiSoft Sandra, AIDA32 and Belarc Advisor). I use them when troubleshooting systems and which one I use depends on what features I'm needing.

I use SiSoft Sandra for testing stability and temperatures with the burn in wizard, AIDA32 for general info, and Belarc Advisor for quickly collecting audit information.

Since aida is more informative than the rest, I used it on a couple of old compaq machines we had to wipe completely today and of course searching for onboard parts to identify when there covered over with the chasis is always a pain.

So after installing win I put aida on them and identified everything with ease and was able to find the rite drivers for everything in a snap.

thanks aida!

If you run Aida on a PC where no driver are installed, it'll say for instance that there's a standard PCI VGA Adaptor in it. --> that's where you need a screwdriver.

No you don't need a screwdriver, check my reply above, it identified everything on a fresh install with no drivers installed whatsoever, check in computer summary pci.

2 old compaq wipes and it gave me everything I needed.
