Motherboard with ISA slot

Hey Everybody,

I work in a research lab and we need some new computers. The problem is that we have some very specialized equipment that can only use an ISA slot. Unfortunately, to replace this equipment with a newer model that uses a SCSI interface is not an option ($4000 / each).

Can anybody recommend a good quality motherboard that still has an ISA slot? I told my boss that we may be able to simply build our own machines based on this motherboard, but I don't know of any out there...an added plus is that I would be able to build a computer at somebody else's expense, before I try building one for myself!

Thanks,
Ben

The equipment (a digitizer for a electrophysiology patch clamp) that we use plugs into a card and the card itself can only work with an ISA slot. The digitizer also will not work without the card. Newer models of this digitizer use a SCSI card, but unfortunatately, the new version of the digitizer costs $4000.

Try the following LINK .

You can also go to Pricewatch and click on Motherboard serch for ISA. I was able to come up with a number of options. Don't know how fast a machine you need, so I just chose one to list.

Happy Hunting,

ed
