wow, that looks sweet.

Do you know if it'll still have the career mode thingy from the first game? I must confess I never played the first one, but all the reviews I read said that the career bit was a bit of a waste of time.

well i have colin mcrae 3 and toca race driver and colin mcrae isnt even installed anymore as toca is my main game, alot better looking, more fun and faster cars! and the crashes are amazing! (toyota GTone on a tight cornet comes to mind) you also get the motion blur thing when you spin which looks great. well i think the career mode is in toca 2 too, i personally havn't done a career as i just like to race around and most of the time causing crashes

love the cars in race driver:

well ive got the demo downloaded and installed and WOW

graphics are alot better than Toca Race Driver 1, it runs alot smother on my system than toca race driver 1. the damage looks great, alough im not sure if you will be able to turn off this feature in the full game but when you crash head on (what i like to do in toca) it says your car is to damaged to continue and you have to restart the race. handeling is great even using the keyboard as the demo wont let me set up my controler.

cant wait till its released, anyone else played the demo?

It's pretty darn nice, but I agree that the "too much damage" thing should be an on/off option. It's realistic, but it is a bit annoying, especially on that Hockenheim track with the Mercedes SLK at full pelt

You can setup your controller, but it's quite well hidden... It's on the last menu before starting the race, there should be an option called Driving Options near the bottom (or something similar, as I have installed it in French). The controller setup, force feedback and dead zones are there

Is it just me or the AA does not seem to work in this game too...

thanks for posting this Martin, I didn't even know it was being released for PC. The handling feels amazingly realistic, easily as good as Project Gotham 2, and it looks great as well.

Can't wait to try it with steering wheel tonight, thanks for that tip equinoxe3d

Too right, all too often the PC gaming community gets treated as the poor relation when it comes to release dates and exclusives. I guess the problem is that we just don't generate the same kind of revenues for the publishers as console users. Which is also why you hardly ever see a TV commercial for a PC game.

Gutted, I was thinking this game was out today, but I was confusing it with CMR4. Guess I'll have to buy that instead
