My antecs have adjustable fans. You can make them so they don't make a peep. Otherwise I don;t remember there being a warranty sticker on them. Swap the 80mm fan with an adjustable one?
Never played with anything but their True Power ones. They have a few more features, but not as many as the Neo Power ones. My 430 and 480 are both good, but my 550 is a tank. It has to have the largest heatsinks I've ever seen in a power supply. The fan is much quieter than with the other two I have. It is inaudibly as it runs them at 850RPM. That is half the RPM of my 480w.

I always wondered why my TTGI TT-350-SS was a 370w power supply.
It looks like they have been silencing all their power supplies. I noticed their "budget" cases with 350w power supplies now run with much quieter fans. I'm guessing they have listened to all us computer geeks that said our computers were too loud. I wish ASUS listened too. The stock chipset fan on their A8N SLI runs at 8000RPM any is a screamer.

WOW...
Not for me thats for sure.
I don't like loud anymore, that why I don't overclock my CPU's anymore, I don't want to be bothered with the headaches, just my Video cards when Benching, then I turn it right back down to stock.

I'm pretty much in the same boat, but I do not overclock as I do not push this CPU much. My AthlonXP would struggle in a few games and things like encoding took forever... even when I ran it overclocked 300Mhz, but this Athlon64 is very nice. It is only 120Mhz faster, but handles everything I throw at it without a stutter. My x700Pro is pretty much that way too. I ran HL2 pretty much maxed out and Doom3 at 1280x1024 High without any trouble. The think is I play mostly Call of Duty and I have that's maxed out too and it does not hiccup at all. I'm waiting eagerly for Call of Duty 2. Sinse it has been out for 1.5 years, it was #1 on the list for something like 5 months strait and was still #7 for the month of February. It is usually #3 on the most played online shooter. I just love it. I'm not into clans, but it is fun to get on a clan server and rip them apart until they dump the sever or boot me off. How are they supposed to learn if they do not have a challenge. I hate it when they adjust the gun stats in their favour, but I still usually beat them! Capture the Flage in Call of Duty: United Offensive RULES!!!
Did I say I like the game?

The reason I got the 3.0E Prescott on the 775 socket is because 3 GHz is fast enough for me and it gives me alot of room to upgrade when I want too. This board can take a 3.8Ghz Prescott and more when they come out.
No need to overclock.
My X800Pro will play anything now and in the next year or more with ease.
I have to get back into gaming more again like I used to though.

More when they come out? You got me there. There is no more, unless you are talking the new 2MB L2 cahce models, which do not offer "more". The Pentium-D will not run on your board. You are better off just overclocking if you need more.

The Prescott 3.8Ghz (with 1mb of cache) is the fastest out right now. I am thinking they will put out a 4 Ghz one this year.
Yes I know my board won't handle the 700 series Prescotts. I am not too worried about it either.
Yeah maybe one day I might turn it up and see what it will do when I feel like getting a headache.
