Hmm whats up with Directx in win2k

Really odd. Upto last week I was able to use Direct3d in Win2k. Went to play everqeust and it goes no direct3d devices available.!!
Loaded dxdiag and lo and behold both direct3d and agp are greyed out and disabled. My vid card is a TNT2 ultra and I have tried a multitude of reference drivers to get it going but to no avail (the latest being 5.22) Can anyone help?

I know its a bit drastic, but try re-installing windows. You can re-install it so that it does not destroy your current setup.
