Polaroid digital camera

I have the Polaroid pdc700 digital camera. Recently I upgraded my computer from an abit be6-II 650 pentium to an amd athlon xp 1600 in an abit kg7-raid motherboard. The computer will not recognize the camera (usb)anymore. I have heard that the amd processors won't work with this model of camera. Has anyone got an answer to work around this problem still using a usb port. Thanks for any help.
