We are a free people, we are the strong, we are the brave, and no matter what ANYONE else says...this is the greatest country in the world. I am proud to be an american, and would be willing to die for this country. Happy 4th all, and remember what our fourfathers fought and bled for!
well i (i'm German) never understood u amarican guys.
If that's right what i saw on TV etc a lot of u guys would even die for ur president.
I think noone would die here for Kanzler Schroeder.
We have the day of the German union, but i think noone really celebrates it. Everyone is just happy that he does not have to go to work. :-))
I don't know if i would die for my Country but u would fight for it, that's sure.
And i'm happy that we all live in a democraty now.
Do i have a wrong opinion of u amaricans ??
well i just can say what i heared and what i saw on TV
But one thing is sure. It doesn't really matter to me in what country i live. If i would live in France, in the US or in GB, i would be happy either. i only want to have the right to elect my government and enough money to get a computer like mine here...
and to live in peace of cause.
I'll tell you a little story about the 4th. About 4 years ago I had a bunch of fireworks on the 4th and lived in the student jungle of college town. Some friends and I had a good old time shooting off big bottle rockets and Roman candles at the neighbors all day (they started it). Well this particular 4th I had some M300's, for those that don't know these are pure gunpowder bombs about the equivalent of 1/4 stick of dynamite. Anyway, I was done with the fireworks for the night when a friend shows up late, he's just begging me to just light off one of these M300's. After a few minutes of his whining I agree. We'd been using them all day but this time we get the bright idea to put the thing under a neighbors plastic garbage can. I light it and run about 50 feet up onto my porch with everybody else. It goes off and I guess it shot that garbage can up higher than a telephone pole to amazement of all my friends. I never saw it because a 3*5 piece of the can shot a light speed right into the side of my head hitting about 1/4th inch away from my left eye.
I couldn't open my eye for about 3-4 days and couldn't see out of it for about another 3-4 days. My vision gradually got clearer over the next two weeks, but to this day if I look for it I still have some weird translucent stuff swirling around slightly obscuring my vision out of that eye. I still have some of those M300's, I just haven't been too keen on lighting off fireworks anymore. I'll enjoy them from a distance.
Sorry if I'm being a downer, just be a little more carefull than I was guys! (wouldn't take much).
Nose definitely would have been better, DEANRIL. Email me how you did that if you feel like giving it up. And you read the explanation of the screen name right?
