Toshiba Satellite A135-S4656 Laptop Problem

I have this laptop and all I have is blue flashing light when plugged in outlet.

No other lights no battery light just blue light flashing..

Is this a battery problem or is this another problem.

Computer won't turn on .

Tried taking battery out and put it back in no luck..

Does the laptop need the battery in it to work even when plugged in main power source?

would rather find out first then tear into it.

thanks for any suggestions and help..

No. It doesn't.

Try reseating/swapping the ram before you start to disassemble it.
