can't watch the clip as I'm at work, is it the renault engine though? It is pretty awesome when the exhaust starts glowing.

I read that during development of a new engine, VW leave it redlining for 3 weeks to make sure it doesn't chuck a piston into low-earth orbit. I bet it's knackered when the 3 weeks are up

yeah its the renault one.

thats crazy about the VW engine but i suppose thats why the reliability is so good with them, i was told that EVERY renault that leaves the factory is held at just bellow the redline for 15 minutes to show up any early problems with that engine and to wear it in slightly for driving (this is from cold too!)

I have something similar... check it out but this one was done at a track which what I assume is a newly changed engine for the new weekend.

if you like bike stuff, this guy is worth watching. It's not big or clever, but it's certainly compulsive viewing
